Forestry England will be carrying out woodland management works in parts of Stoke Woods from around 2 November for approximately two weeks.

✅ Public rights of way will remain open throughout the works

✅ Work will take place weekdays only, 8am-5pm

⚠️ Some small areas will be temporarily closed for safety. Please follow all signage and instructions at all times.

The work involves selective thinning, where some trees are removed for timber products. This gives the remaining trees more light and space to grow, helps woodland plants and wildlife by allowing more light to reach the forest floor and supports the long-term sustainable management of Stoke Woods.

These works will help improve woodland health, encourage native species such as oak and birch, increase biodiversity and build resilience to future climate change.
