Cranbrook articles

Hi and welcome to the Cranbrook section of our website!

Did you know that until it's own Town Council was elected in May 2015, Cranbrook was contained entirely within Broadclyst parish?
Broadclyst is one of the largest parishes in the Country and covers an area from Junction 29 in its South West corner, to Hele in its North East boundary, including Blackhorse, Tithebarn Lane, Westclyst, Kerswell, Columbjohn, Killerton, Budlake, Beare, Hele, Ashclyst, Westwood, Crannaford, Broadclyst Station as well as Broadclyst village itself.

Broadclyst parish boasts 2 primary schools (Broadclyst Community Primary and St Martins), one secondary school (Clyst Vale Community College), a library, a sports hall, a post office (which does car tax - always worth knowing!), public tennis courts, outdoor bowls green, a charity shop, farm shops, a doctors surgery, 2 Churches (St John the Baptist, Broadclyst and Cornerstone Church, Cranbrook), several pubs (yippee!) and restaurants, as well as a whole range of clubs, societies, community and youth groups across the parish.
As Cranbrook evolves many clubs and facilities will become established in the town, indeed it is amazing to see how the community side has grown already with coffee mornings, toddler groups, sports/running groups and community events such as the Pumpkin parade already well supported.
