Broadclyst Parish Council is inviting applications for the post of Deputy Clerk, with responsibility for its planning and traffic committees,
and to support the Neighbourhood Plan officer in the preparation of the Broadclyst Neighbourhood Plan.

Working with the Council, its Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group and others as appropriate, the successful applicant will undertake a range of duties as well as general administration,
basic financial administration and responsibility for specific projects of the Council as required.

Knowledge of working in a local government environment is essential; the Council offers appropriate sector-specific training as necessary.
The successful applicant will be accountable to the Clerk and to the Council, and will report to them as and when required.

The Deputy Clerk will be expected to attend meetings (including evenings) as appropriate in Broadclyst and at other locations as required.

This is an excellent career opportunity for someone who wishes to broaden their Local Council knowledge;
the successful applicant will gain valuable professional experience working within a proactive Local Council setting in the Exeter and East Devon Growth Point area.
